30 DoD: Day #4

Day 4: Favorite attraction in Fantasyland?

I love Mickey's Philharmagic. I love how it combines so many Disney movies into one wonderful 3D show. Every single time I go and watch this, I never fail to start singing along. I even love the wonderful smells during the "Be Our Guest" scene. Every time I go to Magic Kingdom I always have to go here.

But in in close second would be The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. I love Winnie the Pooh  and all his friends. I love how the cart is a honey pot. Another reason why I love this ride so much is the tigger part. Yup when the honey pot starts to "bounce".

30 DoD: Day #3

Day 3: Favorite attraction in Tomorrowland?

I love Space Mountain. Even though every time i go on it I end up getting stuck or having an issue getting out of the "ship". The last time I went on it I literally had to crawl out. Yeah.

But in close second, and these two rides are tied, is Carousel of Progress and the TTA ( Tomorrowland Transit Authority)

Tag, I'm it!

So I was tagged by Cameron and here are 10 things you probably don't know about me.

1.  I don't have a middle name. After my brother born, he was given my dad's first name (Charles) as his middle name. My mom than decided that neither my sister and I were going to get a middle name since our last name was already long enough and we didn't need a middle name.

2. I don't have my driver's license, yet, so a few weeks before finals in high school I ended up getting into a car accident with my mom. Around that time I was also learning how to drive to take the road test. Well after the accident I was nervous to even get back into the car as a passenger, forget actually driving it. But I am planning on getting my license before the program starts.

3. Coffee puts me to sleep, unless my body knows I need it. If I drink coffee in the morning it will wake me up but if I drink it at night, and I have nothing to stay up for (studying, or whatever) than it makes me really sleepy.

4. I hate spiders, I freak out when there's a spider near by, I will not kill it, someone else has to do it for me.

5. I wanna tattoo a small hidden mickey to the back of my ear.

6. I love gummy candy. I always keep a stash of it in my house for when I start to crave it........well that and Reese Cups.

7. I bruise easily, I was born with a low count of white blood cells. So if I walk into a door, doorknob, chair, table, etc I will bruise, it's mostly my legs though. I still have old bruises on my legs than never fully healed.

8. Before I realized how obsessed I am and how much of a fanatic I am of anything Disney, I use to complain to my parents why are we going to Disney World, I know I know I'm crazy thinking that but now I just wanna get down there.

9. I had really bad asthma as a kid. My asthma was bad I couldn't go play outside during recess.(more into elementary school when my asthma wasn't too bad I was able to go outside) As I grew older I grew out of it, which the doctors couldn't believe (I had bronchial asthma). I don't have any big problems with it now,

10. I was born premature. I was born in September but my due date was November. Along with being born premature I was born with a hole in my heart, which caused my asthma. But don't feel sorry for me, with the operation I had (and nice looking scar) and overtime it basically healed itself.

The two people I'm going to tag are Kelly McDermot and Micheal Bryant Stanley

30 DoD: Day #2

Day 2: Favorite land in the Magic Kingdom?

It's too hard to choose just one land in Magic Kingdom. They each hold so many memories for me so it's hard to choose just one.

30 DoD: Day #1

I realized last night that I really need to update my blog more often. So until the real fun starts (applications) I decided to do the 30 Days of Disney Challenge.

Let us begin :

Day 1: Favorite Walt Disney World park?

If you haven't figured it out by looking at the picture it's Magic Kingdom. Ever since I first saw the castle on TV I instantly fell in love with it. My mom and I both like to describe as the perfect "Childhood Castle". It's the type if castle many girls dream about, the type of castle they wish they would live in.

The first time I walked into Magic Kingdom and caught my first glimpse of the castle  I just stood there in shock. I had to be standing there for a good 10 minutes or so before moving. Every time I step foot inside Magic Kingdom and I feel like such a kid and I forget about the world outside of this magical place, I felt so carefree.

Magic Kingdom holds the most memories for me to this day, and I'm hoping for even more. It will always be my favorite park in Disney World.

More about Me

So this is my first blog ever, well that I will keep up with I do have another for music and concert reviews and band interviews but that is besides the point. So since I'm kinda new to this, there will be periods of me disappearing and reappearing. But I'd like to use this post to introduce myself and explain why I'll be writing a Disney CP blog.

As stated in my first post my name is Linda and I'm from New York.  I'm a freshman in college, I should be a sophomore but for my first semester of college I only took two classes and after that I went to a certification program to study video editing, which is one career I am thinking of majoring in. But at this point I'm so all over the place in what I want to do with the rest of my life that I'm just studying Liberal Arts. One thing I am certain about is that I do wanna do the Disney College Program at one point in my life.

Why do you ask?

Well....

1. I love Disney.
2. It will provide an amazing opportunity to work for one of the biggest companies in the world.
3. It will give me the chance to truly 'grow up' (contrary to Peter Pan) and live on my own and get a real-world experience.
4.  To prove to my self (and my parents) that I can make it in the real-world and that I will be able to live on my own. (I know it's basically the same as number 3)
5. Come on who wouldn't love to work is Disney World?

When?

Well, I was going to wait until I finish at least one full time semester in school, once again I'm only taking two class, but after discussing this and telling my mom all about the Disney College Program I decided that I would love to this as soon as possible. That is why I will be applying for Fall 2011.  Which means I gotta start preparing for my application, I know I don't need to worry about it til the end of this year, but hey, why not start now? The earlier the better.

Since I don't need to apply until early next year, there won't be many blog posts, until I start the application. But I may update after I got the presentation at my school.

Have a magical day!:)

The Beginning Of A New Beginning

To any of those who don't know me, let me start off and introduce myself. My name is Linda, I'm 20 years old and I'm a Disney fanatic. I love everything about Disney. Movies.Shows.Games.The park(s).The "World".EVERYTHING.

So of course once I learned about the Disney College Program (DCP) I automatically wanted to do it so bad. Funny story though, I was having an interesting conversation with a few other classmates before our professor walked in and told us about the DCP.

As the rest of my Voice And Diction class was waiting for the professor to come, he's always late to class. Me and 3 other girls in the class we're talking about random stuff and the rest went like this:

Girl 1: I know this is random and your gonna laugh at me, but you know what show I love to watch
The rest of us: What?
Girl 1: Wizards of Waverly Place
Me: So do I

We than continued talking about Disney and Disney Channel. Than the professor walks in and says "Who loves Disney and/or Disney World", he than proceeds to tell us when the recruiters are going to come to out campus and do a presentation. Right away we all looked at each other.  Right after class once I got home I went on to the DCP website and read more about it and even watched E-presentation.
I did so much research on this program. I goggled things.Read blogs.Watched Vlogs.Searched up everything, even read the rules. And to this day I still read blogs, even if they are old.

Now I finally decided to start my journey and start to blog. This upcoming week I will watch the E-presentation, and do the web based interview and if all goes well I'll be making my phone the next morning to schedule the phone interview (and yes I've even read about that, I even started to prepare my answer for "Why do you wanna work at Disney?"

Now here's hoping to a new beginning and a new chapter in my life.

Have a magical day!:)
