Okay so it's been awhile since I posted anything well when I last left you I told you guys how I wasn't sure if my school was going to allow me to do the program or not well I finally got my answer.

And the answer is.....................

YES!

My school is letting me do the program I don't get any credit for it but I don't care I'm happy that they are letting me go. I officially leave in 19 days, I still have so much to do and so much to buy but I don't care I'm just happy that I officially can say that I get to do the Disney College Program. Now that it is official I am thinking of starting of doing vlogs for my friends and family back home.

A block in the road

Yesterday I went to go with an adviser at my college to talk about the program. Well I found out that I don't meet the retirements, I already knew I would have to take one summer class since I was 2 credits off of the requirements, for my school you have to have all your developmental classes done before you can do any kind on internship.

I'm missing four classes, which all four are impossible to take in one summer. Now I have to go meet with the head of the English department to see if one of two things can happen either he will wave the 2 (other) English classes I need to take or let me take the English part of the placement test to see if I can get rid of those two classes.

I'm hoping things goes well, I guess I'm back to wishing on stars for the best it would suck to make it this far and have everything ripped out from under me.

Have a magical day and please wish on some stars for me, once again.

I Will Go The Distance

I received the answer to my fate on March 21, my mom came in my room while I was watching Nick Pitera Disney Medley (it happened to be the part where he was singing Go The Distance when my mom came in) in her hand was an envelope, she had to take it away from dad since he didn't want to give it to me, he was trying to figure out what it said but my mom took from him and immediately ran to my room yelling my name, once I saw the envelope I knew what it was. A big white envelope, that only means one thing, yup I GOT INTO THE WALT DISNEY WORLD COLLEGE PROGRAM!!!! I hadn't revived a an email but if you do remember I did get a pending letter on February 22.
I got in for Quick Service Food and Beverage.

To all those still pending just have faith and wish upon a star, it worked for me. Don't stress and keep checking your email constantly, even though I did, your purple folder might be coming in the mail.

*Ring Ring* It's Disney on the phone.

I had had my phone interview scheduled for this morning at 9:30 AM eastern. It last a little over 18 minutes long. I had Linda (haha) as my interviewer, she was really nice.  I have to say I was freaking out a little before I was reviewing my notes which were taped to a wall in front of me. I noticed it was 9:25 and started to get even more nervous but when my phone rang at 9:32 I just took a deep breath and answered the phone with a smile.  But once the interview started I already felt calm. I'm pretty sure I did well, I did have my interviewer laughing during most of it.

There were times that I did second guess myself or though to myself "why did you just say that" but what is done is done, I smiled and stayed true to myself and now all I can do is wait.

Here are some questions that I was asked during the interview:

  • What is your favorite park/ride?
  •  Who is your favorite Disney character?
  •  What is one issue that may occur with your roommates? How would you help solve the issue?
  • How do you feel talking in front of large audiences?
  • What is longest presentation you had to memorize? Were you able to memorize it?
  • Why are you interested in working at Disney?
  • Tell me about a photo that is special to you.
  • Are you able to use a SLR?
  • Name a time you were able to make a guest happy.
  • Why do you wanna do character attendant?
  • have you ever been to Disney?
  • What do you like about the Disney Parks?
    • If you were doing a repetitive task  how would you keep yourself interested in it?
    • How would you feel if a guest interrupted you while you were doing a task?
    • Do you have any cash handling experience?
    • What are your top 3 roles?
    • Are you a team player?
    • Do you think you would be able to stay calm in a emergency situation? Why do you think that way?
    • Name a time you had to do something in a short amount of time. What was it and were you able to accomplish it.
    • What were your past jobs and what were your duties there?

There were are a few others that I was asked, I do not remember them at the moment if I do I will come back to edit this post.

                  A second chance at fate

I took the web interview the first day that applications went up. The same day my laptop decide it didn't want to work properly and internet explorer messed up during the web interview. Due to complications during it I failed the web interview.

I called a few days after and they were able to reset it for me.

Finally had the chance to take it today and well I passed this time with no issues, well I used my brother's computer instead of mine so that helped.

Next I have to prepare for the phone interview, which I have yet to schedule.

                  30 DoD: #30

Day 30: Favorite statue, fountain, or eye candy in the parks?

I love the Finding Nemo statues, they're so cute.
